The facts speak for themselves as this was the third consecutive victory for the driver at the Istanbul Park. He was accompanied on the podium by Lewis Hamilton and his Ferrari team mate Kimmi Raikkonen. Fernando Alonso, on the other hand finished in sixth place trying to demonstrate that the improvements made to the Renault will let him aspire to better things.
The Formula 1 circus goes to Turkey this weekend, a race marked by the disappearance of the Japanese Super Aguri team from the competition owing to financial difficulties. After the latest race in Barcelona the Turkish track will, or perhaps not, confirm the improvement in Alonso`s Renault. The date of the race has been changed (August was the usual date) and without a doubt the Istanbul Park will see a new battle in a championship that seems finely balanced.
