Copy Team Ford Racing

The Finnish driver Mikko Hirvonen has managed to get back onto the top of the WRC Drivers´ classification after winning the Rally Turkey. His teammate Jari Matti Latvala also got a good result finishing second. In summary a perfect rally for Ford. Loeb was also on the podium and Dani Sordo continues to improve, as he was fourth.

Ford has demonstrated that the team´s car and drivers are in good form in the eighth date of this year´s calendar. The team´s lead driver Mikko Hirvonen successfully defended his lead on the final day of the race and so was the winner of the Rally Turkey. Hirvonen´s victory tasted even better for Ford as his compatriot and teammate Latvala finished second..

Hirvonen´s victory has made him into the WRC leader, snatching the first position from Sebastien Loeb who was the leader before the start of the Rally Turkey, with just a single point separating him from the Finn. The Citroën driver was on the third step of the podium and so is now three points behind the Finn. Sebastien Loeb gave a positive valuation to this result, and mentioned the fact that it would have been very bad for his title chances to have ended the race without points.

Dani Sordo was fourth and he was also upbeat at the end of the rally, saying that his C4 was very competitive in this rally, at the same time explaining that he is satisfied with its performance on gravel. Sordo is fifth in the WRC Drivers´ classification, just one point behind Atkinson and four off the third position which at the moment is occupied by Latvala.
