The final day of the Rally Acropolis just served underline the French driver's superiority during the whole race. Petter Solberg was second and Hirvonen third on the podium either side of the Frenchman. The young Aava was fourth and the Spaniard Dani Sordo benefitted from the problems that dogged Wilson and Henning Solberg on the final day's racing.
Sébastien Loeb got his fifth victoy of the year in Greece, and his second consecutive win, and the points he harvested have made him into the WRC leader after seven races have been completed. Meanwhile, Hirvonen was third after benefitting from the engine problems on the engine in the older Solberg's car, the latter fell down to eighth position.
The young Estonian Urmo Aava got a reward for his consistency and finished fourth in the tough Greek rally. The Citröen driver was in points-winning positions the whole weekend and got a prize that he had not even probably dared to dream of before the start. Dani Sordo was fifth helped by the problems that Wilson and Henning Solberg had on the first few specials on the final day.
