On the final day of the Rally Argentina Loeb made good use of the advantage that he had over the chasing group and carried off the victory. The Australian driver Atkinson finished in second position, and Dani Sordo was third alongside the Frenchman on the podium. In the end the Finn Hirvonen was fifth behind Rautenbach.
Sebastién Loeb got another win this time in the Rally Argentina. The Citroën driver kept a cool head on the final stage of the competition and managed to protect the comfortable lead he had over his big rivals. With this latest triumph the Frenchman moves up to first position in the Drivers`Championship with 30 points, five points ahead of Hirvonen.
The Australian driver Chris Atkinson benefitted from Solberg`s retirement, his teammate, to finish second. The Subaru driver repeated the same finish as he got in the Rally Mexico. Third place went to Dani Sordo who got his best result of the season, finishing on the podium for the first time this season.
Fourth place went to the driver from Zimbabwe Conrad Rautenbach who took advantage of the many mistakes made by the drivers that usually finish higher up the classification. At the same time the Finn Hirvonen was fifth, the Ford driver found an ally in the bad weather as this let him overtake the majority of his rivals.
