The new model, recognisable straight away because of its new front end, has updated its lines so as to obtain a more refined style. Without losing its sports spirit, high performance, it is now strengthened with the revamped engines that increase the power and improve their performance. The prices are between ¬21 950 for the 2.0R Sedan and ¬34 500 for the Sport Wagon.
The front end of the Subaru Impreza takes its shape from the Tribeca B9, with a new grille divided into three sections, flanked by "hawk eye" style lights and a line that climbs from the bonnet to the windscreen. At the sides and the rear the changes are less visible, with a new design on the wheels and lights with circular shapes. The light washers are new - WRX and STI. Inside, the trim is better and sports style, in accordance with the rest of the vehicle. The central point of the new Impreza range is the engine. All the versions are now double camshaft types (DOHC). The entry level 2.0R increases its power from 125bhp to 160bhp, the 2.5 Turbo WRX, from 225bhp to 230bhp with an increased piston displacement by 500cc - and the top of the range is still the STi version, also with a larger piston displacement, moving up to 2.5 from 2.0 and from 265bhp to 280bhp. Subaru maintains the rest of the sections without any big changes, whether active or passive, equipment - improved on all versions - total AWD and set up on the suspension. For the most extreme sensations, in direct competition with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, there are the 280bhp, 244kph top speed with a standing start acceleration 5.4 seconds on the STi version, equipped with new aerodynamics.
