The new Derbi Rambla 125 and 250 are here

Copy Derbi

Keeping the sporting essence of its bikes but at the same time aiming to achieve the utility and agility of an urban scooter, the Spanish Derbi firm has built a new model that brings together all the attributes needed to easily get around a city environment. The Derbi Rambla is a high wheel scooter available as a 125cc or a 250cc which the company has already launched onto the market.

One of the matters pending at the Spanish company was undoubtedly the need to make a high wheel scooter. In spite of Derbi already having accumulated a lot of experience with this type of machine via its Variant models, it has been some time since Derbi had produced a bike for this niche in the market. And so now, and with a desire to satisfy the needs of the publlic aiming to get around the city easily and with agility, the Spanish company has launched the Rambla.

The styling and the technical aspects are the two factors that Derbi has tried to take special care of on its new Rambla. Among the main features on this new model worth a special mention are the level of stability which is above all down to the rigid high tubular steel resistance chassis it is built around, as well as the 15” aluminum wheels which are also quite wide. The new Rambla also has an digital LCD analogue panel which enhances its sporting spirit, and includes details like the hot air vents behind the front shield and a 12 volt connection that can recharge a mobile phone.

One of the inconvenient things on a high wheel scooter of this type is the lack of space for loads, limited to an open type helmet under the seat, although there is also a glove compartment, a hook to hang bags on and a flat platform that makes up for the lack of room under the saet. The new Derbi Rambla has two engines – 125cc and a 250cc – and can now satisfy a wider target public with its reliability and sporty performance offered by the Piaggio engine.
