Rieju Pacific: going round the city

Copy Rieju

Rieju launched a scooter called the Pacific a short time ago, with two dispalcements a 50cc and the other a 125cc within the range of the most economic machines. The Rieju company and its long history working in the field of mopeds has produced a machine whose main features are a good level of comfort and good handling in the city. These features are what could be used to sell the new Rieju Pacific.

This new small wheel scooter that Rieju has launched is a small model that can easily move around the city in between the cars that normally block the way. In spite of its small size it is not uncomfortable for the rider and passenger thanks to the ergonomic design of the seat for two, there are also footrests for the pillion rider. Referring to the capacity of the space under the seat the truth is that it is not so big – it cannot stow a full-face helmet. Rieju has not spared its efforts on the design though, creating a bike that is aerodynamic and modern looking and a scooter that is agile in the city.

There are two models available, one of 50cc and another of 125cc both with an air cooled engine – the 125cc version has a peak power of 9bhp and a top speed of 90km/h, and can even reach 100 km/h. As for the consumption, the Rieju has an engine unit that uses just 2.45 litres per100km, not at all bad for this type of scooter taking into account its power and the fact that the engine dooes not need to use high revs. Regarding the weight as it is a small scooter it is not heavy at all and so it is not as stable as larger machines on the road.
