The Derbi GP1 250 Racing called in for checks
Facua-Consumidores en Acción – Consumer watchdog - has warned that a manufacturing defect has been found on the Derbi GP1 250 Racing motorbike and it may cause a fuel leak. This warning has been added to the list of unsafe industrial products published by the organisation. The defect found on the petrol tank can cause fuel leaks under certain conditions of use.
Magic Tricycle: a bike that can be transformed
It is still a concept but the Magic Tricycle has already sprung a surprise having won the Car Design News Prize - Student category – for the most innovative and novel machine. This concept is basically a trike but it can be converted into a two-wheeled vehicle if necessary, but with the peculiarity that one of the wheels rotates around a longitudinal axis running from the front to the rear wheel, with the wheel elevated into the air so the vehicle can be ridden as a motorcycle in more congested areas.
Zamora joins the cities creating parking spaces for motorbikes
The Ayuntamiento de Zamora – City Council – has proposed a project to establish three areas in the city exclusively for motorbike parking before next autumn. The growing number of vehicles on the streets all over the country is creating the need for projects like this one in Zamora, in many other cities around Spain. Therefore Zamora has joined this group of cities and plans to provide 45 new parking places in the three new zones.
Buddhist monks give advice to the DGT
An initiative by the DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico Traffic Department) in collaboration with buddhist monks has created a campaign based around a manual for reflexive and responsible driving that is called “Live Peace” which has been created by the monks from Garraf themselves.
The Harley-Davidson museum opens its doors
A space of over 12 000 square metres near downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, houses the museum dedicated to the legendary brand Harley-Davidson. This museum will host different exhibitions to showcase the brand, its history, models, etc. The museum hopes to attract 350 thousand visitors a year to the “biker temple” of one of the most well-know brands worldwide.
