The Korean firm Hyundai is gradually, and step by step, finding a niche in the complicated commercial vehicle and MPV sectors. Above all by managing to achieve a good level of safety with the equipment and accessories that are mounted on its vehicles, such as that on the revamped H1. The commercial vehicle retains the H1 Van name and the new multi-purpose car version is now called the Hyundai i800.
In the last few years Hyundai has managed to get a significant share of the car market, even managing to win awards and prizes along the way, for example the Hyundai i30 was Car of the Year 2008 in Spain. Without a doubt, and another big step for the motoring industry, the Korean firm is becoming more and more important in the commercial vehicle and MPV sectors.
In this way Hyundai is continuing to do what it has done in the car market, that is to say, producing vehicles with a good set of equipment and an efficient response on the road. This is exactly what the Hyundai H1 model has achieved, this vehicle has been revamped and is back on the market in two versions according to the needs of the owner. There is the MPV version, called the i800 and the one created for commercial work the H1 Van, which has not changed its name.
Both models offer a 2 500cc four cylinder in line engine, with direct injection and supercharged with turbocharger and a peak power of 170bhp. At the moment this is the only unit available for the H1 Van and the i800, but it is foreseen that the Korean firm will offer another engine - a 136bhp on the commercial version.
