The Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Madrid – Madrid International Car Show - will open its doors to the public on 23rd May, a date which is almost upon us, and so the big firms are putting the final touches to their preparations and announcing which models they will present in Madrid this year. The latest announcement has come from Citroën which has some new products lined up for the show.
The French Citroën company has confirmed that it will give a world premiere and a Spanish premiere to some of its vehicles at the 2008 edition of the Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Madrid which starts on 23rd May at the Ifema exhibition centre. The firm has announced that its presence at this international show will be based around the world premiere of the long version of the new Berlingo box van, as well as the Spanish presentation of the Nemo Combi and C5 Tourer in the car section.
Referring to the Combi version of this new concept of vehicle that Citroën has created with the Nemo model, it can be described as a large van with sliding lateral doors that make loading and unloading easier. The new Nemo Combi uss a complete 110bhp HDi engine, which together with its manoeuvreability characterises this new model made by Citroën. This will be its first ever appearance in Spain.
The French company will also make room for other big attractions at the Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Madrid, such as the C4 Sedán, C5 Berlina and the Nemo Furgón, as all three will be on view. The firm will be on the counter attack in Madrid with a large exhibition space and a wide-ranging display of its most important vehicles; prepared for the demands of future markets and showing off the latest technology developed for use on its engines.
