TA+D laboratory's activities
The Repsol Derivados Technical Assistance and Development Laboratory (TA+D) is equipped with the latest analysis techniques for the characterization of all paraffin-based products and mixed paraffin and oil products in accordance with standard international regulations, as well as for the study of the behaviour of each product in different applications.
The main activities performed in this laboratory include the following:
- Development of paraffin or synthetic-based products (emulsions, compounds used for cables, waxes, etc.)
- Optimization and improvement of existing products.
- Technical assistance to customers, manufacturing plants, etc.
- Evaluation of raw materials and additives, and sample-taking of products currently available on the market.
- Periodic analysis of quality control for Repsol Derivados products.
- Updating of internal methods of analysis and calibration at Repsol Derivados.
- Completion of contrast analyses (for checking results from collaborating laboratories, regarding customer claims, etc.)
- Updating test norms.
