Specific legislation for Autogas LPG
The following is the basic legislation regarding Autogas LPG currently in practice:
- Equipment and LPG vehicle safety: Regulation R-67 of the United Nations, accepted by the EU and ratified by Spain (BOE 03/01/03).
- Requirements and Autogas LPG testing methods: Regulation UNE-EN-589, in which the components of the mixture for automotive are specified.
- Standardization of LPG vehicles: Royal Decree 2140/85, modified in the Order of 17th of April 2000, allowing for the standardization of vehicles to LPG for any kind of use.
- Transformation of vehicles to LPG: Royal Decree 736/1988 regarding "Important Reforms to Road Vehicles"; modified under the Ministerial Order CTE/3191/2002 which allows for the conversion to LPG of any type of vehicle and for any kind of use.
