How to make the most of your gas installation

LPG has an extensive range of domestic uses, however, there are certain considerations which must be taken into account prior to use:

  • Although butane and propane have very similar uses, the way in which they are used differs greatly, with the most important consideration being the boiling point.
  • Butane is used in smaller, usually domestic, appliances.
  • Propane is recommended for industrial and larger domestic installations (kitchen, hot water, heating) as well as for outdoor use, when temperatures fall below zero.
  • Butane and propane installations, particularly the domestic ones, are not only swiftly and easily created, they are also economical.
  • Unlike other sources of energy they neither pollute nor leave residues, in fact, they are both modern and convenient.

Propane or butane appliances differ from those which use other types of gas; particularly in terms of injectors, which have a smaller diameter and in terms of  burners, which have larger primary air openings, as well as in terms of cutting keys, which due to the fluidity of LPG, require an improved leak tightness mechanism.

There are three well-defined sections for the most common applications:

  • Domestic: kitchens, heaters, heating devices, lighting and refrigeration.
  • Industrial: soft soldering, flame cutting, thermic treatments, agricultural heating, etc.
  • Automotion: lift trucks etc.
