Social integration

Repsol YPF collaborates to carry out social integration projects, aimed at groups at risk of exclusion and underprivileged groups, with the purpose of improving their chances of integrating in society.  These projects are generally developed with organisations that specialise in helping these groups.

In Spain, it is important to note the ongoing collaboration of the Bobath Foundation, which in 2007 focused on achieving social-work insertion for people severely affected by paralysis and brain damage, through personal ability training and education on practical-theory knowledge in administration management fields.

As part of integrating people with different abilities, Repsol YPF has been collaborating with the También Foundation since 2003 to develop an Adapted Cycling programme for  people with disabilities in Spain. This project adapts the sport of cycling to help the development and rehabilitation of this group.

Social integration

Actions aimed at social integration are particularly important in Brazil. Along with "The Usina" we developed the project "Red Activos" project, which seeks to promote a change in attitude regarding disability, promoting social and economic independence of workers with disabilities. By adapting protected production workshops, their productive capacity and the relationship with customers is improved. This year, 3 training workshops were provided with a total of 12 hours on costing of products. Each workshop was monitored by mentors.

In 2007 we launched an awareness campaign for international disability day, at all our service stations, with informational flyers on the subject.
