Corporate volunteers

Corporate Volunteering is focused on projects carried out by company employees who offer their spare time and effort with the aim of carrying out a determined Social Action.

In Argentina and for the third year running, Repsol YPF, through the Fundación YPF, has carried out the programme "La Energía Solidaria" (Supportive Energy).

This is a corporate voluntary programme in which an internal competition is carried out in order to receive proposals for community action.

The philosophy of the programme is to consolidate the links between the company and the community by means of actions which are related to development and sustainability, with the employees of the Company as leaders and mentors of the projects.

The fundamental component of the success of these business initiatives has been the personal involvement of our employees in the running of the project during its first year of life.

All of this has been achieved thanks to the interest, knowledge and tenacity of our employees who, at times, have turned their "hobbies" into a business initiative capable of generating wealth; such as the installation of a fish farm in order to carry out the famous fly fishing and create techniques in fish farming in a rural school in Patagonia.

The projects are chosen by a Jury, which is made up of employees from all regions of Argentina, who meet in Buenos Aires and select the "best" proposals.

With the Junior Achievement Foundation, they moved forward during 2005, both in Spain and in Argentina, the Our City, Our Resources programmes and other specially designed programmes, for which the personnel qualify and give special lessons to the pupils of primary and secondary level.

Repsol YPF Peru's voluntary work programme called "Manos Amigos" is made up of Repsol YPF employees, who volunteer in schools, cafeterias and settlements in Lima and Window.
