My name is Sergio Olivares and I joined Repsol in July 2004. As a Production Engineer, I have had the chance to participate in the research, assessment and coordination of projects to implement alternative systems for optimising gas production at wells in the north-east Mexico block. These projects have always been conducted with a view to profitability, and on the premise that at no point must safety, whether of people, the environment or the installations, be compromised. The valuable and continuous training on safety, technical and economical aspects received from the company played an essential role in the achievement of our goals.
There are various things that I value about my job at Repsol, for example: the genuine interest that managers have in the development of their employees; the atmosphere both at work and outside; teamwork; recognition of effort; respect for and commitment to principles; the fact that safety isn’t just a simple requirement; to name just a few, but the most important thing is that my family is happy because I can keep my promises thanks to the stability and certainty that you get from working for this company.
